Myros Buriak Painter.

Myros Buriak was a Western Canadian artist who was active in the 1970s and ’80s. He was a contemporary and friend of well known artists Jeff Wall, Ian Wallace, Tom Cone and many others of the Vancouver art scene of the time. Widely respected by his peers, Myros was in love with painting in a time when painting was considered to be a ‘dead’ art form. Myros was an artist’s artist, moving freely and often from abstract to representational painting.
